Idrama Mzantsi Afrika is a student run project aiming to provide drama sessions with young children in the poorest regions of South Africa, promoting education, development, therapy and fun. Child poverty is prevalent in South Africa, affecting 64% (nearly 4 million) children between the ages of 0-6. This means childcare organisations are often understaffed, forced to work with too few resources and unable to fully support the needs of so many children. We believe that children from the most disadvantaged backgrounds deserve access to a safe, nurturing environment whilst their parents work. With your help we aim to provide much needed assistance to pre-existing charities and organisations by facilitating imaginative and sustainable performing arts sessions.
