In August 2018, I will be travelling to Peru and completing several hikes and challenges to raise money for Your Ideas, a Redditch charity that works with vulnerable/hard to reach young people in the community to help provide a better quality of life.

The charity has a focus around children and young people on the Spectrum, and I have seen first hand how it helps its users. My brother, who is on the Spectrum, has used the facilities and groups there for many years now and it has given him and a lot of his friends the confidence to achieve the amazing things they have. They run weekly groups for different ages, as well as weekly game nights. These allow these young people to build confidence and communication skills, and have positive experiences of socialising with people their own age. As a small charity, funding is harder to come by, so reaching my goal of £2,500 would make a real difference. You can know exactly where your money is going and that it is making a direct impact.

The main trek runs for five days, trekking on average 7 hours a day at altitudes varying between 3,300m and 4,250m. I will be camping throughout the trek in varying conditions and doing a lot of climbing, too. I will also be going Sky Diving, Sand Boarding and completing as many different adrenaline pumping activities as I can. As part of my fundraising campaign, I have also been doing a lot of training walks, including walking 31 miles through London non-stop, and completing the 3 Peak Challenge in exactly 24 hours.

Your Ideas is a smaller, local charity, I can't set up a Just Giving page that goes directly to them. So, this is a Crowd Funding page and I will present Your Ideas with a cheque for the total sum donated when I return to the UK after the trek in September.
