Story

Shanè - a beatiful, brave and selfless woman whom i was fortunate to work with, become friends with and was subsequently inspired by; I was in awe of her calm, strong and caring personality, as a teacher and in her personal life.

The Snowdonia Quarter ultra-marathon 2018... three freinds and I are taking on this challenge as a relay this weekend (30/6). Unforunately (or fortunately for those holidaying) it seems to be the peak heat of summer! So with this in mind, read on to find out what they have in common.

Shanè was nifty on the crocheting, forming intricate patterns over night, even when she felt exhausted from invasive and frequent treatment in the ELF unit at Exeter Hospital. She was an avid & successful gardener. She is remembered warmly as a wondeful host of sunny afternoon get togethers.

So what better way to celebrate her life than to give back to those wonderful souls who have chosen a career where they give their time, energy and love daily to those suffering. It cannot be easy. It must at times feel thankless and hopeless.

And so: thank you for sponsoring me to run the Snowdonia Quarter relay along with my crazy friends - in order of the legs of the race - Tom, Johan and Laetitia... it starts at 6.30am (that's my bit) at the south of Snowdonia and crosses 50 miles up and across the national park to Conwy - there‘s a total an ascent of 13,679 ft!

So come on... how much do you think you could spare? Thank you so much in advance.

Rosie And the mad runners! X
