I've raised £500 to fund The Trusty Paws Clinic in Glasgow.

Thanks very much for taking the time to visit our page.
Sandy and I have decided to run the Glasgow Half Marathon on the 1st of October to raise vital funds for the Trusty Paws Clinic in Glasgow.
The Trusty Paws Clinic is a dedicated team of veterinary students providing preventative care for dogs belonging to the homeless and vulnerably housed of Glasgow and London.
The Trusty Paws Clinic Story:
In March 2014 Ruby Shorrock, a Veterinary Student at the University of Glasgow, became intrigued about the homeless with dogs after learning about a clinic for pets of the homeless at Nottingham Vet School.
After some research she found that not only was there nothing like this scheme in Glasgow, but that no hostels in the city take dogs - leaving nowhere for them to go. She then decided to start a clinic for dogs belonging to the homeless and vulnerably housed of Glasgow which would be run by the vet students. She formed the founding committee of The Trusty Paws Clinic with other students in her year and the first clinic was in October 2014. Since then, they haven't looked back!
The clinics are run once a month out of drop-in centres in homelessness charities. At the clinics they provide:
• Vaccinations
• Micro chipping
• Flea/worming treatment
• Dog care supplies and accessories
• Referral for extra veterinary care.
They make sure there is a friendly and informal environment to make the dogs and people feel more at home.
Everything is done by the vet students, under supervision of a qualified vet, so it is also an amazing educational experience for them.
They see so many lovely doggies along with their devoted owners. Seeing their bond is truly special!
