Story
The 9th of November sees the launch of the Parkgate Shopping Toy Appeal.
Due to the new lockdown rules which will be in place from November 5th we will be unable to do our traditional launch. We are determined however, with the support of the local community, local businesses and our partners The Rotherham Advertiser, RB1, our new local radio station and RUFC to provide a Christmas to young people across the borough in these difficult times.
We will monitor the situation regarding government guideline and update our site for your information.
The generosity and support from our Rotherham Community helped us provide for 1600 young people last year who all lived in the Rotherham Borough. The LOCAL community supporting LOCAL children.
When you are shopping on Parkgate you will see Xmas Trees carrying tags, if you can, take a tag and buy a gift for a Rotherham child. These can be handed in at any shop on the Shopping Park and our Parkgate Elves (volunteers) will collect and collate them for the various agencies who distribute the gifts on our behalf.
We understand that many people are self- isolating or feeling vulnerable and may not want to visit us as often, so this year we have set up this giving page to allow any of our customers who would prefer to make a donation to the appeal rather than bringing a gift to the Shopping Park the opportunity to do so.
Thank you for your support for our community
Stay Safe and Well
