Story

The start of November sees the launch of the Parkgate Shopping Toy Appeal for 2021.

Last year we had to create a way to continue fundraising throughout lockdown and our JustGiving page went down well thanks to the support of the local community, local businesses and our partners The Rotherham Advertiser, RB1, our local radio station to provide a Christmas to young people across the borough in the most difficult times.

The generosity and support from our Rotherham Community helped us provide for a huge amount of young people last year who all lived in the Rotherham Borough. The LOCAL community supporting LOCAL children.

When you are shopping on Parkgate you will see Xmas Trees carrying tags, if you can, take a tag and buy a gift for a Rotherham child. These can be handed in at any shop on the Shopping Park and our Parkgate Elves (volunteers) will collect and collate them for the various agencies who distribute the gifts on our behalf.

This year we're able to do more - and we will certainly be doing that as this year has been as tough, if not tougher for some families in our borough, so as well as the physical presence at the shopping centre, we will also run our Just Giving page for a second year in a hope we can smash last year's total.

Thank you for your support for our community
