I've raised £200 to help fund the Wirral Rottie Retreat Rescue and the amazing work that Nell does to re-integrate and re-home Rottweilers who were mistreated.

Over the last few months, Sara (my partner) and I have been helping Nell who runs the Rottie Retreat Rescue around the corner from us.
Nell has run the Rottweiler focused rescue for the last 16 years out of her own home, predominantly by herself, whilst having brought up 4 children, suffering with MS, and holding down a job.
Do I really need to stress how impressive that is!?
Sara and I have been helping to train, walk, and just spend some time with the dogs to give them the love they deserve. The dogs come from all sorts of horrible and heart wrenching backgrounds, but Nell will never give up on any one of them. The dogs often require veternary care, medication, additional exercise, training, and socialisation which all cost money and time which is predominantly self-funded.
Most recently, she has taken in Joe who is around 4 years old. He was left outside and alone in a crate, abadoned by his original owners. He clearly has never had any training, any social integration, and very little affection. In under a month, Joe now listens to basic commands, is house trained, and loves a cuddle! Some more work to go, but we will hopefully find a safe and loving home when he is ready for adoption.
Sara and I are now planning to take part in the West Kirby 5km Santa Dash on December 1st 2019. A last minute decision, neither of us have done any training up til now, so it won't be easy! However, training starts now and Sara is aiming to break 30 minutes, whilst I will be running alongside to help keep pace and give her encouragement.
Please help us raise some money for the Rottie Retreat Rescue in the Wirral and help Nell continue the amazing work she does to save the beautiful and misunderstood Rottweiler dog breed. The money will help in so many ways such as vet bills, etc.
