Story
We are trying to raise money for a dog rescue centre, Rottie Rehab (you can find them on Facebook ), based in Wiltshire, UK.
Rottie Rehab came about by accident after the founder rescued her first Rottie 15 years ago having only owned show Rotties. After seeing the abuse & neglect that some of these poor animals had suffered, from being beaten & having their ears cut off to cigarette burns & starvation, she decided she wanted to make a difference no matter how small. She now runs this small rescue centre based in Wiltshire which rescues, rehabilitates & rehomes Rottweilers that are mistreated, wonky, broken or just unwanted all around the country. Every dog that comes into Rottie Rehab is given the promise that we will do whatever it takes to fix, mend & find them the right loving home where they can live out the rest of their days in warmth, comfort & wanting for nothing. Unfortunately, sometimes this can prove rather expensive. We also have a NON DISTRUCT policy unless advised by a vet.
The founder has many years of experience owning & training Rottweilers & she ensures the rescues that come to us live in a house as part of the family & with other dogs, where possible, so they can be assessed properly in the same environment in which they are going to be rehomed. We are very thorough with our rehoming process from the time you meet your potential new dog right through to the end of their days with you we offer ongoing support & training. We also insist that if the partnership is not successful, be it a day later or ten years later, that the dog comes back to us so that we know where he is at all times & never lose track of our four legged friends. The welfare of all our dogs is paramount.
Our aim is to raise £1,000 in February and March by setting up in our local Just For Pets store and covering some miles on a Concept 2 rower... With the help of some friends we will be rowing multiple distances, including the English Channel (that's 240,000 metres at it's widest point!!) and more...
Our first dates are the 24th and 25th of February in Malvern Just For Pets! Pop along to visit or we will be keeping you updated on our Facebook page!
