This summer I will be attempting to set a world record to row 2000 miles non-stop around the coast of Great Britain. Before this year I'd never set foot on a boat before!

This is widely regarded as one of the toughest endurance ocean rowing challenges on the planet. Circumnavigating the British Isles in a 7 metre rowing boat involves navigating the worlds busiest shipping lanes, dangerous tidal currents and the bitterly cold North Sea, whilst carrying all the supplies required to survive the journey onboard. I will be stopping only to eat, sleep and shelter from any storms, I'll not be stepping back on dry land until the challenge is over.
Due to the way Just Giving is set up, a crowd funding page is the best way to raise money the two chosen charities. (Mind & RNLI).
99% of the donations that I receive will go direct to the chosen charities,
1% will go to help towards the cost of the row.

I can't believe how much cash we've raised for two such brilliant charities! Every penny donated kept me going especially on the toughest days. We absolutely smashed the target that I was hoping to raise and the charities will really benefit from your generosity. Thank you everyone

6 years agoDay 160 onboard and I’m plotting my route for the final section of the Round Britain Row. I’m so close to the finish line now but with another weather front on its way, it’s not over yet. Thank you all for your messages, for your support and for being so generous. The money we’ve raised together is beyond all my expectations for what was possible when I set off all those months ago.

6 years agoWow! Thank you one and all. Your generosity blows me away every time I’m able to check in from out here in the North Sea. We’ve smashed the £2,000 mark before I’ve made it home. So I’m doubling the target as I re-double my efforts to finish the row south. Please please share this page with anyone that you know who supports the RNLI and MIND. Just this week, I was reminded how vital these two charities are. I pushed my luck a bit too far, attempting to beat strong winds in to Peterhead... More on social media
