I've raised £1800 to build a Reading den for KS1 for children to go during breaktime and access books, away from the classroom. We plan to furnish it too.

Story

The Friends of Roundhill Primary school would like to fund the building, set up and stocking of two Reading Dens.
Encouraging reading can be an uphill struggle at the school and these dens will inspire children to look at reading differently.
Reading den will be a magical place for children to go during their breaks and get immersed in a story. Kitted out with brilliant books, bean bags, blankets they will be a quiet and cosy space and decorated to be a wonderful place to be in.
The Friends recognise that Reading is a hugely important part of education. The creation of this den will support learning for children who potentially find it difficult to engage with books at home or maybe need a quiet space for downtime.
The Friends aim to support the school, enhance learning and providing opportunities for the children. The Reading Den would do all of these.
