Only a few months ago, I took part in a 28-day trip with 17 other disabled or socially disadvantaged teenagers, called Journey of a Lifetime or JOLT. I was required to attend an interview to apply for it, and then fundraise the money to pay for it.

Towards the end of this trip, the leaders challenged us to raise enough money to sponsor a single person for the next one. The average cost is around £5,500 per person per trip, and since there are 18 of us, that makes my fundraising goal £300. To accomplish this, I will be shaving all my hair off, and donating it to Cancer Research UK to make wigs. This will be happening in the GALE Centre on the 26th of November, at 3pm, and will be put up as a video on YouTube.

This money will allow someone else in two years time to go on a life-changing journey, just as I did.
