Story
The ‘Channel Row Challenge’ is a team of individuals taking on the epic challenge of rowing the English Channel (the busiest shipping lane in the world) in aid of mental health and suicide prevention charities in the UK.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on the mental health and wellbeing of individuals across the UK and has resulted in increased pressure on mental health and suicide prevention charities. All money raised from this gruelling challenge will go directly to supporting several charities and initiatives across the UK, including the charities:
- Ripple Suicide Prevention: helping to save lives through online interventions
- Shropshire Mental Health Service (Mind)
Together we can help put an end to suicide and to support those in need right across the UK.

2 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has supported our 'Rowing for Mental Health' challenge. The team successfully crossed the English Channel on the 9th May in a time of five hours and thirty minutes - a gruelling challenge but totally worth it for the money we've raised and the difference it will make to those struggling with their mental health. Once again, thank you so much for your support. It means the world. Darren and the team x
