2023 Marks the anniversary of our 40th trading year.

To celebrate this amazing milestone we will be undertaking a number of fundraising events throughout 2023 with the intention of making a large donation to a local charity "The B30 Foodbank".

"The B30 Foodbank" are a local charity to RDS and they do amazing work in our local community by supporting families and individuals with vital food packages.

The Foodbank was set up by the B30 Churches Together network in September 2013 and is currently operating from the Cotteridge Friends Meeting House.

With a fantastic group of over 100 volunteers, who help at their warehouse, with supermarket collections, twice weekly donation sessions and at various local events.

They have links with over 250 organisations who distribute vouchers to those who need 3-days’ worth of crisis food.

During 2021, they gave out 6,765 emergency three day food parcels including those to 2,307 children a total of over 95,257 kg of food, an amazing achievement.

RDS Plan to raise critical funds to ensure the foodbank can continue to operate and provide this amazing support to our local community.

Therefore throughout 2023 we have a number of fundraising and social events planned to , starting with the Birmingham Half Marathon that a number of staff will be doing in May, we also plan to do the 3 peaks challenge later in the year, a charity golf day and multiple fundraising events as we go through the year, keep your eyes peeled on our on social media updates for ongoing and upcoming events.
