I've raised £200 to the memory of Roy Saunders, for our local school to enjoy and learn art. This was something very close to Roy’s heart!

Story

Roy Saunders, a much loved husband, dad, grandad and friend. After courageously battling pulmonary fibrosis, he sadly passed away at West Suffolk Hospital on 29t h June 2020.

Roy had a great sense of humour, was very clever and loved listening to jazz. He worked as a talented painter and decorator during his life, mastering many types of special effects. He could make a ceiling look like the sky and plaster board look like marble! He had a love for art all his life and when he retired, he concentrated on painting and sketching, and Roy became an established artist in the local area. It was one of his wishes to help children experience and enjoy art. In his memory, we would love to raise money to go towards art materials and supplies for his local school, Glemsford Primary Academy.

More examples of Roy's artwork can be found here
