Saira is 17 years old and is autistic and has severe learning and communication difficulties. Her understanding of language and words is much better than her ability to speak and communicate. Saira needs alternative means of communication to tell us what she thinks and feels.

We have been trying out (RPM) Rapid Prompting Method with her and are really excited by the results. She is starting to spell out words and answer questions and tell us what she is really thinking. We are practising the technique with her at home and need more training to get better at it.

Shola has been a befriender for Saira for 12 years and she is very close to her and all of our family. When she found out about what we are doing with Saira, she wanted to help us by raising money and came up with the idea of shaving her head!
