In June 2017, at the age of 55, I experienced severe chest pain, and was told I urgently needed a Triple Heart Bypass. I had my treatment at Glenfield General Hospital in Leicester, with support from the British Heart Foundation (BHF). Both of these are great causes, which provide benefit to a huge number of people in various ways.

I am raising money for these fantastic causes. The BHF will use any monies raised for the purpose of research into Heart health, and Glenfield General Hospital will use the money to provide facilities for their hardworking staff.

I am a volunteer and a Community Speaker for these causes, providing Awareness Talks to organisations and individuals. These refer to my experience and raise awareness of the early symptoms of Heart health issues, some of which I had ignored.

To help raise funds for these well deserving causes, I am organising a Charity Ball. This will be held 2nd September 2023 at the Hilton Hotel, Easy Midlands Airport. Tickets are available separately for this event. The event will include a Charity Raffle and Auction after a great dinner and entertainment. In addition to raising money through the event itself, I invite you to provide any donations you can through this page.

The work of both Glenfield General Hospital and the BHF is important, and could be of direct benefit to yourself or loved ones.
