Story

Sensory room and mini bus with wheel chair access for Rubery Court residents.

We are currently hoping to raise funds to further develop the 'sensory room'. A safe place where residents can go when they need time out or simply to let their frustrations out. We would also like to purchase a mini bus with wheel chair access so that the residents of Rubery Court can go out on group activities and access the community with ease.

We have 6 residents at Rubery Court, with a range of learning and physical disabilities. 5 are non verbal and enjoy visual stimulation through sensory equipment. We currently have one sensory bubble tube but we would like more to help the residents engage more by using a relaxing and stimulating environment by filling a sensory room where the residents can access at any time. 5 of our residents are wheel chair bound therefore special adaptations would be put in place so that they can easily access the sensory room also.

This space will make a real difference to the residents on a daily basis. So thank you for any support you can give!!!
