I've raised £3600 to purchase a specialist wheelchair rugby wheelchair for donation to Kenya to start the country's first ever wheelchair rugby team.

The Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby Team is seeking to do its bit to help kickstart the great sport of wheelchair rugby in Kenya, Africa. There are a number of Kenyan individuals with spinal injuries , limb amputations and other disabilities that are longing to play wheelchair rugby. The problem is that there are currently no specialist rugby wheelchairs in the country in order for them to begin to play the sport competitively. At present these individuals are having to either play this full contact sport in everyday wheelchairs or else play their sport of second choice which is wheelchair basketball. Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby are looking to raise funds to buy one specialist chair for donation to Kenya, as well as encouraging other established wheelchair rugby teams around the world to consider making a similar donation. All it takes will be for there to be 8 specialist chairs to be in Kenya for the formation of a club where players can train and play matches. Please give as much as you are able. Every donation, however small, will help in this initiative. Thank you on behalf of our wheelchair-rugby loving Kenyan brothers and sisters.
