Weʼre raising £500 to build an Education Trust Fund to support underprivileged children in The Gambia
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
In January 2019, Manchester Metropolitan University students and staff we will be taking part in Global Hands 5K Run4Africa. We are expecting over 1000 runners and all the proceeds raised from this run are going towards developing an Education Trust Fund to support underprivileged children.
Global Hands is a CIC that works with communities and individuals through a wide range of methods including education, arts, conferences, project work and sports in promoting education and building the capacities of individuals and communities to initiate sustainable development. So far, they have done this through working with public and charity organisations, working with the Manduar Development Hub (in The Gambia), taking over 400 students to The Gambia on transformative study visits.
