I've raised £1000 to Ben's prosthetic leg fund by Running the Manchester 10k

Our buddy Ben Rawson was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma in June 2017. This cancer affects fewer than 30 teenagers and young adults in the UK each year. As the tumour was wrapped around crucial arteries in this leg, this meant that there was no alternative but to amputate. At the age of 21 Ben struggled to come to terms with this emotionally and psychologically. Throughout all of this, Ben has been brave and formidable.
He has already done amazingly well and is near the end of his ordeal with chemotherapy. He has a long road ahead with learning to walk comfortably with a prosthetic, but we are confident he will get there. We (Kate McCoubrey, Anna Denman, Laura Howe, Harry Roberts, Alys Nicholls, Edward Sheriff) will be running the SimplyHealth Manchester 10K on the 20th of May to contribute to the already amazing amount of donations that have already been made towards Ben's cause. We have watched him go from strength to strength over the past year. We all want to see Ben return to hockey and finish his degree at Manchester Metropolitan. We hope that we can raise some money to ensure he gets the best prosthetic possible in a bid to return to normalcy.
Any donations however big or small would mean the world to all of us and Ben!
Many thanks,
Kate, Anna, Laura, Harry, Alys and Ed
