Story

Roman has Bardet-Biedl Syndrome and it causes Obesity Under-Active Thyroid Heart and Kidney failure and Blindness.

I am endeavouring to run the Iconic GUCR, 145 mile continuous foot race from Birmingham to London with strict cut off times along the way, it must be completed within the 45 hour allowed time or face disqualification. This will be my 4th attempt this year, last year I made it to 100 miles but sadly pulled out due to fatigue and an overuse injury. This year it's getting done with this cause to motivate me even more. Also I hope to encourage others to do their bit to help this local boy find some Joy this summer, as his sight is rapidly going and we want to raise enough funds for him to have a sensory garden built in his back garden where he can enjoy the outside world in a safe environment. I want others to pledge to run 1 mile or many as they can or choose too and pledge to donate money to this wonderful cause 'Run 4 Roman', please share this page and either sponsor me, even a £1 helps or indeed get sponsors yourselves and help us give Roman some much needed freedom, Thank you xx
