I've raised £5000 to help toward the £350k required renovation of the hydrotherapy swimming pool at Sherbourne Fields Special School in Coventry.

Sherbourne Fields School is an Outstanding Special School in Coventry, UK. They cater for children aged from 2-19 with a wide range of needs and disabilities.
The hydrotherapy swimming pool at the school has been in continuous use by pupils, staff and the wider community for 50 years. Unfortunately, the end of its life is quickly approaching - within 2 years!
The pool is a critical part of the therapy and the education the school offer to the students, as well as use by the wider community for things like swimming lessons.
The school are part way through a massive £350k fundraising campaign, to try and make sure that the hydrotherapy pool can be fully refurbished to modern standards, which will allow it to remain in use by all the Sherbourne community.
The pool has a major impact on the children's long term health, wellbeing, mobility and fitness.
Please do support this fundraising campaign to help make sure this wonderful school is able to keep these children swimming.
On March 23rd and 24th 2019, the Coventry Festival of Running takes place. There are three events during the weekend. A mile dash on the 23rd, and a 5K Go Run and a Half Marathon on the Sunday.
Some parents of pupils at the school are going to be taking part in the mile dash on Saturday. Whether that be walking, running, pushing a wheelchair, or assisting a driving wheelchair, the mile will be a challenge to many of the young people taking part.
On the Sunday, almost 50 staff from the school will be taking part, split across the 5K race, and the Half Marathon.
Completing the 5K will be no mean feat for a lot of the staff taking part, with the Half Marathon group facing a mammoth task of training over the coming months to prepare.
However, just take a moment to remember that there are challenges that the Sherbourne pupils face every day of their lives. And yet, each and every one of them picks themselves up, puts a smile on their face and continues to amaze everyone. So, lets do this for them!
