Story

In July, a team of 16 students and four teachers are travelling to Galle, Sri Lanka (an area that was badly affected by the 2004 tsunami) for two and a half weeks where we will help renovate buildings, work in schools, care homes and even orphanages. This has been an ongoing project for a few years at our school now and all the money we raise we use directly to help the people there. I am a student from Akeley Wood School and am part of a team of volunteers that are travelling to Sri Lanka in the summer to help many disadvantaged people in many ways. It would be very much appreciated if you could make a donation to help us raise money. As part of my fundraising, me and another volunteer, Morley Spinks, will be running a half-marathon on 7th May 2018 where all money raised will go to supplies when we are out in Sri Lanka. Please donate to help this wonderful cause.
