Story

On 13th September, I'm going to drag my unfit body around a 5k race in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for a great cause.

Last year I spent just over a month volunteering in Eleonas Refugee Camp, Athens. There are over 2400 people of all different nationalities living in the camp. Project Elea is made up of volunteers from all over the world who come together to try and improve the lives of those living there. The volunteers take part in food and clothing distributions every day as well as organising plenty of fun activities for the children, skill sharing workshops for the adults and sports tournaments.

Donations have recently enabled the construction of an Education and Creativity Centre, pictured below, which has been a huge success.

Donations will now go towards creating a library and a computer lab for the residents.

"Education breeds confidence. Confidence breeds hope. Hope breeds peace.’’
