** As an all female team, we’ll be running (& crewing) 550KM from Los Angeles to Las Vegas—a challenge that tests both our physical endurance and mental strength.**

The Speed Project (TSP) began in 2013 when a group of friends decided to push the boundaries of endurance by running from LA to Vegas. The result? Two things became clear: 1) We can go a lot faster, and 2) The experience needs to be shared. TSP is not just a race; it’s a movement that celebrates resilience, teamwork, and the power of pushing beyond limits.

*As a team we've decided to raise money for Refuge, the UK’s largest domestic abuse charity for women.**

As of the year ending March 2024, around 2.3 million people between the ages of 16 and 74 reported experiencing domestic abuse. This includes 1.6 million women and 757,000 men, highlighting that while anyone can be affected, women remain disproportionately impacted.

80% of the money we raise will go directly to this incredible organisation that empowers women to live without fear or violence. Refuge provides essential support to thousands of survivors every day, helping them rebuild their lives after abuse—physically, emotionally, and financially. The other 20% will go towards fuelling the vehicles, food for the team whilst on the road and road safety supplies whilst running at night that we may need along the way.

We are running for all the women who need this help, and we’d be incredibly grateful for your support in helping us reach our fundraising goal.

- **Why an all-women team?**

We are an all- women team because we want to show that women can do hard things. We are ordinary women doing extraordinary things—because we are fearless, strong, and capable.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, secure, and straightforward. Your details are always safe, and once you donate, we’ll withdraw the funds directly. It’s the most efficient way to contribute and ensures every penny goes toward supporting Refuge and covering our road costs.
