I've raised £200 to Dispensary, “Centre de Maternité, Néonatologie Nanoro - Centre Sanitaire “St. Camille” in Koupela, Burkina Faso, Africa

Back in 2004 I went to visit my aunt Bartolomea, a nun who has lived and worked in Burkina Faso, Africa, since 1967.
This trip proved to be an experience which took me aback and left in me an indelible mark; after having witnessed the hard work and personal sacrifice my aunt and the other sisters and volunteers give out to help the people of one of the poorest countries in the world.
Once back home I thought it would be a good idea to organize and set up charity events in order to raise funds to help my aunt and her Dispensary: “Centre de Maternité, Néonatologie Nanoro - Centre Sanitaire “St. Camille” in Koupela; the event took place on the 19th May 2005, it was very successfully and I managed to put together a quite large sum.
In London, with my friend Roger, we decided to do the same.
We organized an event in May 2010 "Koupela Project" with several artists performing live, playing music, exhibiting their works and projecting African movies.
The event took place on the 2nd of May 2010 at The 2nd Floor Cafe Bar and Venue 2nd Floor, Netil House, Hackney, London.
Next month, on the 22nd August I'll be running my first 10 K Marathon "CHASE THE SUN BRIXTON AUGUST 2018" at Brockwell Park, Dulwich Road, London, SE24 0PA with the aim to raise money for Dispensary, “Centre de Maternité, Néonatologie Nanoro - Centre Sanitaire “St. Camille” in Koupela.
The money raised will be spent:
Building houses for small families (2-3 people)
Drilling water wells (the wells are vital in a village; the water provided is used to grow vegetables which they will be used to feed the community and be sold at the local market)
Buying millet’s seed for the farmers
Helping hundreds of children to attend school for at least one year
Helping building new maternity and obstetrics centre
It would be great if you can help me with this project and if you can support me on the 22nd at Brockwell park. Every single donation helps, no matter how large or small, it can make a real difference helping my aunt and her mission providing a better life for the people of Burkina faso.
Thank you very much!
Ciao
