Three Peaks for Pavol

On 26 May 2021 I am running the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to raise money for my friend Pavol, who recently lost his wife Ana to cancer. Over the last 2 years I have watched Pavol courageously support his wife Ana and their children through Ana’s struggles with a terminal illness, taking on the roles of husband, parent, and full-time carer.

I have seen how his love, strength and dedication to his family has inspired everyone around him, but it has also come at a cost. Supporting his wife and children has meant Pavol has not been able to work for over a year, and so as Pavol and his children start to rebuild their lives, I want to do something positive to help them along the way.

Pavol kindly gave me a home during a difficult period in my life, and so I want to return that generosity by raising some money for his family.

Ana will be remembered by her 3 wonderful children; Luka, Alma, and their little two-year-old, Roque.

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is described as ‘the marathon with mountains’, and will be my furthest and most challenging run so far.
