I'm raising £2500 to ..actually we are raising to enhance the facilities & equipment at the chemo unit at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital in honour of Rosie Child

*MESSAGE TO ROSIE 2nd Jan '25*
Morning my lovely. Hope you have managed to chill out after a very busy festive period and are reaping the rewards of not having treatment this week.
I've found a challenge I'd like to do.
It's a half marathon every day for 4 days. It's in Ireland and that's very apt as if you are ok with it I'd like to run this for you and your charity of choice ?
Let me know your thoughts.
Lots of love on the bright blue sky day xx

Gosh, Lins - that is some challenge you're setting yourself - but if anyone rises to one, it's you. Are you changing your name to Eddie? 🏃♀
Where about in Ireland is it and what are the dates. I'm in Dunlin on the 23rd August (God willing)
I'm chuffed that you want to do it for me - as you've already raised so much for BCN 🎀
My first thing that entered my head was, raising money for the actual Chemo Unit at the L & D but I'm not sure this is possible?
They could maybe buy a new chair / machines/ supplies. They constantly have to improvise as can't order stuff as no funds!
It may have to be generic, like Macmillan, but I can always ask. I'm there on Monday or my Wonder Woman Nurse, might know - I can always text her.
What do you think? 🤔
Lotsa love - enjoy this unexpected sunshine 😎
Fast forward a couple of weeks and Rosie's wonder woman nurse had confirmed that we can give directly to the chemo unit and our wonder woman friend Lisa along with I had signed up to run the Donegal Quadrathon.
We are both very honoured to carry out this wish for Rose as it meant so much to her.
Lastly we would like to thank you for visiting our Just Giving page. We want you to know that during every step of the 84km's we'll be helped along the way safe in the knowledge of the kind donations that you've made to this very worthwhile cause.
Thanks once again,
Love Linsay & Lisa xxx
