Story

At the end of July I'll be taking part in a gruelling 100 mile ultra distance race over the fells of the Lake District. I've been training since December, all through the long dark winter months getting up at 4 some days for a run; into the hot and humid summer we're having where I have to get up earlier to run before it gets too hot. I have some injuries but so far I'm running through it all. Last year I made 61 miles before the race beat me. This year, it won't win. And you'll be able to live track me through the whole event to make sure I don't cut any corners!

You can follow me live from the Lakeland 100 website: http://www.lakeland100.com/?mc_cid=83b7fb56d3&mc_eid=b64cfeff97

Or from the Live tracking site direct where you can see my every move: http://live.opentracking.co.uk/18lakeland100/?mc_cid=83b7fb56d3&mc_eid=b64cfeff97

And the leaderboard site to see when I reach checkpoints: http://track.sportident.co.uk/index.php?event_id=6930d363-0ae2-478d-8276-ca0fd9d27b18&mc_cid=83b7fb56d3&mc_eid=b64cfeff97

I'll be competitor number 295 :-)

So why am I doing all this? For the two Search and Rescue (SAR) teams I belong to. I've been with Serve On for almost 10 years and we respond to disasters all over the world. I've only just recently joined Cheshire SAR, but their dedication and professionalism are also outstanding. Both these teams rely on donations to function: to be ready, to train and to respond. All donations will be split between both teams. Let's get the donations rolling in to keep me going through the second night of non-stop running.
