We will be running the Robin Hood Half Marathon this coming September in Nottingham. We both have never ran a mile in our life’s, so half a marathon seems like a huge task.
The reason for setting ourselves this challenge, is to raise money for a truly amazing family whose world was torn apart in January. They had the devastating news that their little boy had a very rare form of cancer. After a gruelling 5 months of treatment, they then found out that Dawson’s cancer had not responded to any of the chemo he had received, there was nothing more that could be done in the UK. Dawson has remained unbelievably strong through his battle so far and we need to get him to America where he has a better chance of survival. As you can imagine this is very expensive treatment, but it would be worth every penny to save this amazing families strong and happy boy.
We have set a target of £500 to raise for this amazing family, so we can help Dawson and his family get to America and give him the treatment he not only needs but deserves.
