I've raised £2000 to Raising money for the children and families who have to spend Xmas in Bristols children hospital this year and the 401 challenge.

Every year countless children have to spend their Christmas in hospital. This is Something most of us, myself included probably don’t think about.

My good friends made this apparent to me while their daughter had to spend some time in bristols children hospital. Little Isla, who’s made a full recovery is now out of hospital but others may not be so fortunate. Rochelle and Pat have come up with the lovely idea of raising £500 to buy all the little ones in hospital a present for xmas this year. I want to help them.

I’ve been Inspired by the 401 challenge I wanted to be charitable this Christmas. I want to help this cause also and bring awareness to bullying, mental health and suicide prevention.
It’s also been 11 months since I quit drinking for a year last December. Many said I wouldn’t do it, ha fuck you I’m 25 days away from completing it. To add to the fact I haven’t drank for almost year, as a kind of sick celebration and to raise some money and awareness to a couple of beautiful causes I’ve set myself the Advent calendar run challenge.
Lets call it Run with Bernr0d!
-
I will run 1 mile, adding adding a mile each day until Christmas Eve. So……..
December 1st - run 1 mile
December 2nd - run 2 miles
December 3rd - run 3 miles
… and so on and so on and so on
December 23rd - run 23 miles
December 24th - run 24 miles
Accumulating 300 miles over the 24 days. Think I can do it??
I will need some running partners!!! Follow my progress and get involved at any point, I will some and motivation for sure!!

Help me raise money to help some families this Christmas and bring some awareness to the 401 challenge.
Please follow links to my just give page to donate over the festive period!
(Also don’t be a fat, alcoholic, lazy pig and use this excuse to exercise with me through out December, I will run at the pace of the slowest runners you can dip in and out doing as many or as little miles with me as you like)
