Chris Rushworth is supporting three fantastic local charities as part of his testimonial year.

As members of his Testimonial Committee we thought it would be a great way for all of the community to get involved in supporting Great North Children's Hospital at RVI, Newcastle, North East Hearts with Goals and Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust from County Durham.

All of these organisations undertake vital work in our local area and have helped so many people in their time of need, and often despair.

We'd love you to help us to help them in their continued aims, whether that to be to provide the best possible start in life, provide defibrillators in the community or to help with household bills during times of ill-health and crisis.

We'd like to get up to 200 people each committing to raising £50 in sponsorship that we can donate to these three wonderful charities.

We are asking each participant to walk 10 miles on Sunday 16th June, starting at 9am, from Emirates Durham ICG Riverside to Hylton CC. The walk is set-up to be accessible and a genuine family event.

A £50 pledge will confirm your place, get you refreshments along the route and ensure you can actively support Chris and his chosen charities.

And it's not just the humans that are welcome to join us, feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends.
