    Story

My son was seriously failed by the NHS and GPs . He was a top footballer locally , very good looking lad with a young family of two children . He was physically strong and fit competing in MMA . Outwardly he was the envy of everyone who knew him . There were 550 heartbroken people at his funeral wondering why and how he took his own life. Nobody listened or acted despite his mum and I sepetately asking for help from the authorities. I have set up IN THE NICK OF TIME to offer a different service helping catch these youngsters and giving them help. We will offer a safe walk in place and contact centre where they can confide and get help. Not from under resourced NHS but from volunteers who have been there and experienced mental health or losses. I want to offer a way out with outdoor activities having served as a physical training instrictor to build teamwork, sense of accomplishment and belonging. I want to provide housing opportunities, get them apprenticeships , driving licences and life skills to give them real prospects. My ex army friend is with National Probation Service and is chairman of ITNOT ( In The Nick Of Time ) . We cant register the charity until £5000 has been raised but a Charity Account is opened now. My son was well loved and sadly missed by many in his town. I have media interest already but most of all it was avoidable and no parent should have to bury their child. This is a non profit adventure and we have a 3 trustees in place and a committee of 12 . We will continue to organise fundraisers ourselves but time is lives not money. Please help. Todays youth / tomorrows future!

I don’t know you or your family but suicide prevention is all too close to my heart. There’s so little support available, I wish you the best of luck.
