    Story

Hello from Rusty, the rescue bunny and goods and supplies manager at Helicopter Ears.

My Helicopter Ears laptop is on his last nuts and bolts: it's spattering oil and puffing hot air out as I type. Some essential buttons don't work: letter W, tab, and a Windows. And trust me, you don't knoW hoW much you need the W until you can't have it. The hard drive is doing weird things - the paces I'm putting it through are becoming unbearable for it, and its whirring becomes deafening at times. It's bursting at the seems, and a disaster of losing every bit of bunny-bytes I have in my possession now seems imminent ... If you shake this laptop, it rattles inside. (It has been dropped a few times, yes, and that's why I want to get a desktop box - something Oksana won't be able to carry around and work on off the top of an ironing board.)

We import and edit photos, run our accounting software, create and edit many office documents, and run our facebook page, answer email and messages, process adoptions and rehomings. So much depends on having a computer for us bunnies, and this machine is done. It needs a good send off and a burial really, and I need a new one before - not after - a disaster strikes and we have a big explosion and I have to pick all the pixels off the floor. When that happens, we don't have a spare one and Helicopter Ears goes dark.

I asked around to see if anyone could donate us a good box - a desktop or laptop, it doesn't matter, as long as I can do all I need on it - and though no-one could spare any computers, some said that you'd donate towards one, so I'm creating my fundraiser.

It's a lot of money, I know, but this computer really is our number 1 priority: it runs Helicopter Ears, it makes our pictures, it writes our posts, it raises our funds, it does all the bunny health research. If we lose our computer, we'll be lost. So please donate and help me share my campaign and spread the word and keep us running.

Hello, friends. Rusty here. I have had two people get in touch - one from the UK, and one all the way from America, and it seems, they have posted me a laptop each! How wonderful is that?! I am still collecting, though. My friends are desperate for funds towards their vet bills, and I need a couple more little IT bits and pieces - one of which is a screen calibrator which will help us make sure your 2017 calendars look as amasing in print as they do on my screen. So please support me. I hope to get a few more donations in. Rusty x
