Ruth Boyes BEM (née Foster) passed away peacefully at home in Spennithorne, North Yorkshire, on 16th August, aged 80. Ruth, formerly of Dewsbury and Oakenshaw, was the beloved wife of David and a dearly loved mother to Clare and Sarah and grandmother to Thomas, Daniel and Nina, Miriam and Beatrice. In her years as a much loved teacher at Dewsbury College, and her extensive charity work in her later years, Ruth touched the lives of many and was awarded a British Empire Medal in recognition of her much valued contributions. She will be missed by all of us.

Donations are welcomed instead of flowers. These will be shared equally between Hospital at Home (South Tees Hospital Trust) and Therapy Dogs Nationwide, according to Ruth's wishes.
