Story

Over the last decade RealWorldHR have worked with the UK's Emergency Services, (3/4 of the UK's Fire and Rescue Services, 1/3 of the UK's Police Service and 1/3 of the UK's Ambulance services). With the major events which have happened within the UK recently having had serious and marked effect on everyone within the emergency services, some whom we know personally including our own staff we have served it’s time to give something back.

We have set numerous challenges across the year to help raise money for PTSD999, these include; tough mudder/NUTS, completing 999 miles between January -June 2018, mini internal tasks around CPD (we are HR after all...) its going to be hard and we need all the support we can get. If you can donate some money to this worthwhile cause we would be grateful.

PTSD999 Is a completely new and independent charity funded by private donations. It’s unique in the way it will provide support; the majority of its trustees, administrators and most importantly doctors and counselling staff have served in the Emergency Services and/or Military and suffered PTSD, or have close ties with someone who has.

Their Vision is to ensure that the Emergency services do not suffer in silence but have access to the resources and support they deserve and need. To remove the stigma, embarrassment and worry about asking for help without fear of going on their record and fear of losing everything. We aim to deliver support in a timely manner in an environment based on respect, kindness and collaboration that serves not only the individual but where needed the whole family.
