    Story

Doncaster Business for the Community is to hold it’s inaugural 11-a-side football challenge for business owners, “The Doncaster Business Community Cup” on Friday 25th May at the Keepmoat Stadium and in another first the match will be played under floodlights.

This new and unique event sponsored by The Crown Hotel Bawtry, will involve two squads of 18 players who will contest the Cup over 90 minutes with penalties being the decider should scores be level at full time and will provide each player with a truly professional footballer experience from training, under the guidance of coaches from Doncaster Rovers FC, which starts at the end of February to a pre-match training game to be held at Doncaster Rovers Cantley Training Ground.

The Doncaster Businesses for the Community match, will kick off a four day Festival of Sport at Keepmoat Stadium, which will include a large junior tournament, women’s football and the inaugural Club Doncaster Foundation Awards. Playing on the pitch at Keepmoat Stadium is a fantastic experience and having this match under floodlights will make the occasion even better.

This is a truly groundbreaking event and a great partnership with Doncaster Rovers FC and Club Doncaster Foundation. Those who sign up will have the opportunity of playing in a competitive match at the stadium whilst doing their bit for charity in the local community.

At DB4C we are not just about supporting local causes and charities, we are also about improving the health and well-being of business employers and their staff throughout the Doncaster area and this is an excellent example of our work.
