Ryan Price is walking 40 miles to raise £1,800 for Old Crossleyans RUFC….

You may remember that back in February our amazing rugby club came under attack. Trespassers drove on to our playing field and caused damage to our pitches endangering the life of some local children in the process.

The repair to the playing surface took a lot of hard-work from our tireless ground staff but the club also had to install a new fence to guard against future trespass. It was installed at a cost of £1800. The rugby club hadn’t forecast this expenditure and it has impacted our investment in other areas of the club.

For that reason, this Sunday our club Secretary Ryan Price will be going the extra mile (or 40 miles to be precise). He is walking from Brighouse to Dakota (Hotel in Manchester) on the canal towpath. Aiming to cover the distance in an impressive 12 hours.
