Story

Ryan, 19, is from Manchester and has been homeless since childhood. He was recently featured on a SkyNews documentary which was widely shared on Facebook.

My attention was captured by the story of a young man, only 19 years old being completely homeless but also without photo identification ( making obtaining a simple bank account impossible ) a bank account and ID and an address are the basics needed to obtain employment and self sufficiency.

Ryan lived in a tent in Daisy Nook Park for a number of months, with only a hand full of possessions he carries with him. He has this month managed to get a small flat which is a huge step to him gaining independence and getting back on track.

Ryans story touched my heart , and my instincts couldn’t allow me to watch a young man who only at the start of his life, be going through such a hard time and with it seemingly impossible to rectify in his current situation. I New I had to help him if I could and would be great to get back onto track and hopefully help fund his education and give him some security.

So I took to the internet to try and reach out to him, and managed to start a dialogue with this lovely young man.

So I am currently raising money for him to be able to him back on track and living the life that many of us take for granted:

1. Support for his accommodation and to furnish it with basic needs to a comfortable standard

2. Help to get him with his mental health and ongoing support to succeed.

Anything extra will go towards getting Ryan up on his feet with clothes , household items etc

The beneficiary of this go fund me account will be Ryan Lee Abraham’s age 19, once we have raised enough to start funding the items listed, I will arrange to travel to meet Ryan in his local area of Ashton having made a plan to withdraw the donated money and distribute its use with him on items needed for him to see him out of hard ship. Some photos and a report of the day will be posted in updates.

I am liaising with Ryan daily through Facebook at the moment and I must state that this is the only method of communication I have with him. We are also in contact with other local organisations that are going to help him starting today. One of these is infinity initiatives I believe. So any help we can be of to this group will also benefit Ryan and other homeless , or poverty stricken people in his local area.

Anyone wanting to contact Ryan directly I will gladly give you his details

Thankyou for your support
