Story
The beach lifeguard service in Ryde has successfully administered CPR to numerous unconscious, non breathing casualties over the years. The current defibrillator is a 3-4 minute run away, which could be the difference between life and death for a casualty. We are hoping to get a defribulator that can be kept in the lifeguard HQ, to reduce this response time to zero, increasing the chances of successful CPR on a casualty.
Ryde Beach is extremely busy with locals and tourists over the summer months, with an fairly unique tidal system as well as a fixed rip pulling casualties out to sea.
