Story
On Sunday August 12th, Andy, Mike, Chris and Jon will be cycling the 75 mile trek from London to Rye, to raise funds for their good friend and colleague John Rivett. John is raising money to undertake Immunotherapy cancer treatment, currently unavailable on the NHS. You can read about John's experience on his own crowdfunding page here - tiny.cc/42aevy - We're hoping to spread that funding net a bit wider to those who may not know John, but want to see us put through our paces for a great cause.

6 years agoPontins Camber Sands Resort : Never go there. A curry and a pint softened the blow, and we waved Andy off to work this morning in a dazzlingly rambunctious spirit. A huge thanks to all who donated. We managed to smash our £1000 target, and the page will be open until the end of August for any last minute donations. We wish John all the luck in the world with his Immunotherapy. Now we must shower before society will allow us to return (No, Pontins did not provide towels). Jon, Mike, Andy & Chris. xxx

6 years agoChris had to have his spirits revived with Guinness, Katie's homemade flapjacks and isotonic gels, in order to stop him from jumping on the nearest train rather than face another cruel hill. He soldiered on however and now has thighs that can only be marvelled at. You'll be speechless in their presence. I left him on the train looking like he'd been tattooed by a four year old with oil. Andy suffered only minor chafing to his bum cheeks, and some serious mental torture from having to spend a night at the horrific Pontins Camber Sands Resort.

6 years agoWell, we managed to get to Rye in nine hours including breaks and mandatory rural 'Prancercise' sessions. I think this might be the bestest time of all time. We only sustained minor injuries and occasional soul-crushing hill fatigue. Sadly Mike snapped a spoke early on, but managed to get it up and running again with twigs and twine; knowledge gleaned from his many Ray Mears luxury box sets. I fell into an awkward heap of shame twice from a stationary position, as I wasn't used to the clip-in pedals. I did pull off a delightfully fierce pose...
