Weʼre raising £8,000 to support Rye local community effort of Mutual Aid during the COVID-19 crisis to cover for costs related to volunteers and help the food bank
- Rye, East Sussex
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Rye local community is coming together to share mutual aid during the COVID-19 health crisis. We are in urgent need of funds to cover the costs related to volunteers (e.g. managing the volunteers' information from SurveyMonkey, buying gloves for safe delivery of shopping and medication to people in need, printing leaflets etc.) and to help support Rye Food Bank. We are seeking funds from Rye Town Council to cover the costs related to Rye Mutual Aid Group volunteers. If successful, the totality of the funds raised will go to Rye Food Bank. The new measures of social distancing and self-isolation are of great concern regarding children who normally receive a free school meal. Rye Food Bank needs all the help we can give. Thank you for helping us help the local community at this difficult time.

Southern Water has given each of its employees a sum to donate to local causes that person knows has been important in the current emergency. I am happy to make that donation to Rye Mutual Aid
