Story

On Tuesday the 3rd of July we lost our beautiful friend Rachel at the age of 42.

Rachel was a loving, caring, fun and bubbly person. She put absolutely everyone before herself and no matter what, she always made you smile. Her 3 Sons, family and friends are unbelievably shocked at her passing and will miss her terribly.

Losing Rachel was unexpected at the least, after suffering since January with many issues, going back and to too the doctors and still working 5 days a week she unfortunately found out in May that she had Ulcerative colitis which is a form of inflammatory bowel disease/Crohn's Disease. Rachel went through numerous intense surgeries to remove her bowel as an infection had spread, she lost weight rapidly and required steroids and was on morphine everyday for the pain. Rachel unfortunately woke up after emergency surgery with a Stoma which she did not expect but said, "It's okay, at least I am still here and I can manage this".

As some people may or may not be aware Colitis/Crohn's Disease is a common illness that can be treated but can lead to life threatening complications.

After numerous weeks in hospital undergoing countless surgeries Rachel was on the road to recovery or at least we thought, and was let out on Saturday the 30th of June. Everyone was happy to have Rachel back in the comfort of her own home.

Unfortunately Rachel Passed just 3 days later on the 3rd of July due to complications from all the surgery she received.

Rachel was an amazing mum to her 3 teenage sons, they were her absolute world and was incredibly proud of them. Her bestfriend Jo, close friend Helen and countless other friends and family will miss her very much.

As some people can relate money situations can be difficult, especially as a single parent providing for a family. Rachel worked all hours and more to look after her family however putting money away for a funeral wasn't something Rachel was looking to save for in the near future.

We are creating this page as we want to give Rachel the send off she deserves, as her passing was such a shock to us all, the sufficient funds are not available to her family.

Its hard to put into words how much of an amazing, beautiful, kind hearted person Rachel was if you didn't know her personally. Those who did could not wish for a better friend.

Please help us make this day as good as it can be.

Thank you.
