Story

On the 13th January 2022, at the age of 38, we lost our beautiful Shaun: loving son, brother, uncle and friend.

On the 19th January 2023, our Shaun would have celebrated his 40th birthday. To mark the occasion and celebrate Shaun's birthday, on Saturday 21st January 2023, a group of Shaun's family and friends will be walking 40 kilometres from Boundary Park to Old Trafford and then returning to Boundary Park again.

We will be doing this to raise money for Papyrus, which is a charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide in young adults and the promotion of positive mental health. Hopefully, the money raised will help prevent other families and friends from going through the heart-breaking time we have experienced since losing Shaun.

Your love and support continues to help us to face each day.  Thank you.

Maggie, John, Matt & Charlotte.

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
