I've raised £2000 to help transform the lives of children at St. Martin's School in Kenya

In March 2023, I will be travelling to Nairobi in Kenya with my colleagues to volunteer at St. Martin’s School which is located in the slums of Kibagare.
The level of poverty experienced by families in Kibagare is immense; it is one of Nairobi’s most deprived slums where people live in severe poverty without clean water, sanitation or electricity. Life in the slums is not easy and it's even worse for children. St. Martin’s School is transforming the lives of over 1000 children living in Kibagare by providing a safe environment for them to thrive through education and be empowered to change the future of their communities. They currently have a primary school and an all-girls secondary school.
Education is the key to lifting the most disadvantaged out of poverty, and as St. Martin’s School operates on charitable donations, I need your help to support their education and deliver the school's promise to support the children and families of the community.
During the trip, we will be visiting the brand new St Martin's Secondary Boys School and volunteering with landscaping and manual labour at the new school. We will also be teaching and mentoring the secondary school children with key life skills such as CV writing, interview tips, female empowerment and technology workshops. We will also host a sports day including a football and volleyball tournament, doing community visits around Kibagare, and taking the children on a field trip to an animal sanctuary as most of these children have not travelled outside of their village. On our final day, we will be volunteering at the St. Martin‘s School feeding program where we will feed over 3000 people in the community.
Your donations will go a long way, so please donate as much as you can.

Thank you,
