Story
Sabina, Thibaut and Carl came back from a week in Ukraine in April after completing our goal to deliver humanitarian aid to Kyiv. We initially came to deliver trauma dressings, bandages and tourniquets.
As time progressed, we borrowed an ambulance, doing patient transfers in the region of L’viv. We moved onto Kyiv and met the 23rd Battalion and other civilian volunteers, to whom we delivered the initial dressings, medicines, and trauma first aid training.
We felt that we had not given enough, so we are now raising much needed money for the war effort and to support all the incredible people we had the chance to meet over there.
So far we have covered all the costs ourselves, however with the amount of supplies we need to purchase in order to support both military and civilians, we need to ask for help.
To begin the fundraising, our friend Rich has been kind and mad enough to offer 3 days out of his life to go through absolute misery and walk/jog/tab 100 miles along the Jurassic Coast and Sabina volunteered to join him. Sabina and Rich covered 100 miles during the Queen's Jubilee weekend, carrying all the equipment and providing you with daily updates.
In addition to the above, Sabina and Thibaut are climbing the Matterhorn at the beginning of August and will be carrying the Ukrainian Flag gifted to us by the 23rd Battalion to the top of the mountain. We will hope to be travelling back to Ukraine soon after.
All donations will go directly towards the purchase of supplies as per the list provided to us directly by the 23rd Battalion. This list includes medicines and protective equipment for civilians and the soldiers on the front line.
We are working independently of any charities but have official letters from the Kyiv Institute of Traumatology Hospital and from Ukrainian Ministry of Defence (available on request) validating our mission, we will also provide a full report of use of funds, etc upon request.
