For some families, the “mosque” is a small, crowded room. For others, it’s a fragile shelter made from timber and sheets. When it rains, prayer is disrupted. When the sun is harsh, people squeeze into whatever shade they can find. Children sit on dusty floors. Elders struggle to stand for long. And on Jumu’ah, Ramadan nights, and Eid, many people simply can’t fit—so they pray outside, hoping the weather will be kind.

They show up anyway—because the need is real, and faith is what keeps them going.

A Mosque Is More Than a Building

A mosque becomes the heart of a community.

What We’re Trying to Build

Sabr and Hope Foundation is raising £5,500 to help build a mosque in Uganda—so this community can have a clean, secure place for daily salah, Jumu’ah, and Islamic learning.

A completed mosque can mean:

A safe and permanent place of worship for men, women, and children

Space for Qur’an classes and learning for the next generation

A centre where the community can gather, support one another, and grow

A lasting source of reward—sadaqah jariyah—for everyone who helps make it possible
