Story
I am planning to build a water well in loving memory of my Dadi, Mahmuda Khatun, who recently passed away in Bangladesh.
She leaves behind my Dada, 11 children, 35 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Even though some of us lived thousands of miles away, Dadi never forgot a single one of us. She would always ask about each child and grandchild (and their spouses) by name, holding us all close in her heart despite the distance.
We kindly ask for your du’aas for her forgiveness and mercy. May Allah grant her the highest ranks of Jannah, grant her Noor in the grave and reunite with us in the Hereafter.
In honour of her life, we wanted to do something that reflects who she was.
Providing access to clean water is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah — a gift that continues to give. Every time someone drinks from this well, makes wudu, cooks, or cares for their family, the reward continues in’sha’Allah.
May Allah accept this as a source of ongoing reward for her and for all those who contribute.
Ameen.
