5th December 2021 (wa)Saddleworth Rangers current under 14’s are completing an approx 25 mile bike ride to raise funds for their tour to Spain in May 2022.

The team is made up of 21 lovely lads from across the Oldham District. They play in the North West Counties amateur rugby league which usually sees them being driven along the East Lancs on a sunday morning.

Each year, the Under 14s are given the chance to fundraise towards a tour which is an amazing opportunity for these boys. This tour is a chance for the boys to play the sport they love in another country whilst also learning new skills along the way. It gives the boys the chance to experience new cultures whilst building and cementing those life long friendships that rugby provides. And after the last eighteen months with all the ups and downs we have all had to endure, this tour will have such a positive impact on their health and wellbeing.

As you can imagine, taking 21 lads across to Spain doesnt come cheap and so the lads have decided to do a sponsored bike ride to try and raise some funds. They will set off from Saddleworth Rangers in Greenfield and travel around 25 miles back to Saddleworth Rangers on the 27th November 2021. With their willing helpers and maybe a pit stop on the way, the ride should take about 5-6 hours.

If you would like to sponsor their efforts they really would appreciate it. Thanks
