Our Grandmother, a strong-willed, independent and pious woman was diagnosed with a terminal illness 6 months ago. As of early October 2019, she left this temporary abode and continued her journey onwards to the Eternal home of the believers.

Our Grandmother was always observant of her duties towards Allah and never fell short of keeping an eye out for those around her. All visitors to her house are witnesses to her love and hospitality towards others. Despite old age and illness, she was careful about making others feel disturbed or burdened for her sake. In spite of pain that accompanies such an illness, she did not complain and wholly believed that it would be a means of expiation for her sins. Until her last days, she was observant of all her Salah and was constantly reciting the Kalimah till her soul passed. She continuously passed her hand over our heads in such weakness, praying for our temporal and transcendental success.

Although we will never be able to repay the favours of our mother and grandmother, we would like to try and contribute to a Darul-Uloom for girls and multi-functional prayer space in Albania - an essential space and hub for the Albanian Muslim community coordinated by Rahma Institute (watch the video for more details: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E6ognU3BJs4)

We request our family and friends to donate towards this promising institute as continuous charity for her comfort and for ease on her journey onwards (and for ourselves), and hope, that in return, someone may contribute to continuous charity that will benefit us when our turn comes.
